Hello and Welcome,

My Name is Gina and I am the founder and Director of Working Dogs Rescue.

We started 4 short years ago, and I am amazed at how far we have come in such a short time. We would first and foremost like to thank our Corporate Sponsors and financial supporters. Without you we would not have been able to save hundreds of dogs from high kill shelters and life threatening situations.

Our biggest focus moving forward is to create ways to bring in more rescue dogs and train them for Veterans with PTSD. Did you know that there are thousands of Veterans out there that have sacrificed so much for our freedom that have returned with PTSD and in need of an Emotional Support Animal (ESA)? They look and there are organization out there and they find that they are asked to pay up to $50,000 for the dog.

We understand organizations are charging this amount because listen, this is not cheap. The cost to house, feed, medically care for and train dogs the amount of time needed for a Veteran is costly. However, we are making it one of our goals to raise more tax-deductible donations from supporters and corporate sponsors to cover these costs so that the dogs may be donated to the Veterans in need.

In Rescue, we use the phrase “Who Rescued Who?” What we have found is not only do we rescue the dogs, they rescue us. This phrase couldn’t be more true when it comes to the support these rescues give Veterans in need. They are so supporting, they ease our anxieties and simply love us unconditionally.

Thanks for coming to our Website to learn about our mission. Please take a good look around and if you are a person that has a love for dogs and people…. well you have come to the right place. There are many ways you can pitch in and help. Some people say Oh I am sorry I just don’t have any money.

Everybody can do SOMETHING! There are many ways people can help without taking money from their own pockets. Check out the site to learn how you can pitch in and help, revisit this blog where we will periodically ad articles that are both entertaining and educational. We are glad you are here!
